It gets messy after a while but the search function is pretty solid. Categorizing and sorting notes works decent enough, but if you get thousands of notes I find OneNote to be a little problematic. The web clipper isn't great, in fact, it's bad, but it works at the very basic level and generally gets the job done.

Does a great job for someone who wants more than just writing a few personal notes. Onenote - Medium note-taking/clipping needs (longer lists, clipping basic articles from the web, collecting bills and so forth). It's fast enough and small enough that it works great for that particular need, though, so if you don't need anything more there's no reason looking at the others. So it's only for writing notes, not for collecting/clipping anything at all, as it's almost useless in that aspect. Google Keep - Smallest note-taking needs (shopping lists, shorter wishlists or quick notes in general). I would summerize the situation like this: I've spent an enormous amount of time investigating this, so if you have any questions going forward I should be able to answer.
